Shure has announced new SE535 earphones featuring redesigned smaller body with (very good news) detachable cables. Same three-driver design of the earlier model with light audio tweaks. Priced at 550$, will be available in clear or bronze body. SE435 dual driver + detachable cables anounced too.

iPhone was launched with a recessed plug, preventing use of any standard jack. Anyway there is an easy solution:
Use a cutter to remove 2 mm of the flexible black plactic around a harder black plastic. Look at the pictures below for explanation.
iPhone gets 2 sorts of plugs to get audio out of it:
- audio jack plug (3.5mm) on the top of the iPhone body
- audio jack plug on the docking station which comes with the iPhone to synchronize it to a Mac or PC with dock connector
